Leadership at Alaska Communications, a leading telecommunications company, understands happy employees will create happy customers and that in turn will lead to company success. As a result, they’ve retooled their efforts to nurture happy employees.
I worked with the company for some time as editor of their employee newsletter. The newsletter was mailed quarterly and helped employees and their families better understand what was happening at Alaska Communications. While my primary function was writing the newsletter and helping with production, it all began with a strategy session about each issue, its focus, and how to make the messages more social and widespread in the company.
My role also included consulting and writing to support other company initiatives and product launches.
